Noble Hamlet Pacowa Chata in Krypno
The activities of the thematic village are based on the history of the Polish nobility in the 17th century. – the life and customs of the petty gentry and the regional and ethnographic aspects of the Polish countryside. The objects collected in the thematic village as well as the atmosphere and flavours of the regional cuisine will take visitors back to the times of the Sarmatians, whose tradition – due to the number, wealth and education of the nobility – was often identified with Polishness and had a significant impact on Polish culture.
History of the village
The founders of the thematic village are Barbara and Tomasz Pacowie. The couple have been running it since 2011.
The offer of the thematic village includes:
- weaving workshops,
- art workshops,
- scone baking workshops,
- a nobleman’s duel with foam swords,
- archery,
- viewing the Small Gallery of Polish Kings,
- a visit to the Historical Ethnographic Museum,
- overnight stay in the granary.
