Former Tatar Settlement in Studzianka
The former Tatar Settlement in Studzianka was established to promote Tatar culture, preserve and care for the mizar located in the village, which was a very important component of the material and spiritual culture of the Tatars. And they had a developed cult of ancestors and the dead.
History of the village
The thematic village was created on the initiative of the Studzianka Village Development Association. The basis for its creation was the fact that the Tatars stayed in Studzianka from 1679, when King John III Sobieski granted them land, until before World War II.
The thematic village offer includes:
- visiting the mizar,
- learning about Tatar customs and rituals, and traditional Tatar costumes,
- Chamber of Remembrance with an exhibition on Tatar themes, a Tatar mural,
- Museum of Podlasie Village in Studzianka
- Tatar archery,
- Tatar cuisine workshops,
- events: Meetings with Tatar and Regional Culture, Days of Tatar Culture,
- running competitions: Tatar Five, Tatar Half Marathon, Tatar Marathon, Ultra Tatar, Tatar Extreme Run, Tatar Night Run,
- “Searching for Tatar treasure” field game,
- open-air painting workshops, such as “With the mizar in the background.”
