Einstein on the Meadow in Stefankowice
The aim of the thematic village is to educate through practical experience of nature. The main areas that the “Sosenka” Association deals with are ethnography, history of localities, nature and physics.
Village history
The beginnings of the thematic village date back to 2013. The “Sosenka” Association wanted to create a place where children and teenagers could become interested in natural and exact sciences and develop their interests through play. Currently, they are also involved in the promotion and development of the village of Stefankowice.
The thematic village offer includes:
The village’s offer is addressed mainly to schools, seniors, organized groups of tourists and individual visitors.
- visiting the Stefankowice History Memorial Chamber with three exhibitions,
- visiting the Stare Stefankowice Mini Open-Air Museum,
- guided tour of the town: war cemetery, battlefields, manor park from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries with many valuable trees, forge and court kitchen, artillerymen’s square with memorial oaks, “Wolf” valley,
- active physical games,
- physical shows, nature activities,
- playgrounds for children, ziplines,
- mini gym and “workout plus fitness” zone,
- two places with gazebos for barbecue and bonfire,
- reconstruction of the victorious battle of the 15th “Wilk” Infantry Regiment over Budionny’s cavalry, which took place in Stefankowice. On September 5, 1920, the victorious battle took place during the Historical Picnic.
